Happy Monday, Friends!!
Picture of the Week.
I’m going to share a different kind of picture this week, not one I took on one of my morning walks, but one that every older Boston Bruins fan remembers very well. I know exactly where I was on Sunday, May 10, 1970, at 40 seconds into sudden death overtime, that the great Bobby Orr scored the winning goal to win the Stanley Cup.
The picture is of Bobby Orr flying through the air, horizontal with the ice, seconds after he put the puck into the net! I was fortunate enough, years ago to get signed 16”x20” copy from the man himself.
“To Jack, Good Luck Always, Bobby Orr”
Since that time, I’ve had it hung in different homes and one time in my Architectural office. Three years ago, when we relocated from Texas back to Florida, we downsized considerably. That means, down 2/3 of the size of Texas into a much smaller space. We put a lot of things into a storage bin thinking it would only be a few months at the most until we got organized. Well, it’s coming up on three years, and we decided to empty out the bin, either donate or find a home for everything. The photo will soon find a new home on one of our walls!!
I hope everyone has a great week!
Peace and Blessings – Jack
