Happy Monday, Friends!!
Picture of the Week.
Yesterday, on my morning walk, I watched the pre-setup of scull crews getting ready for a race. It reminded me of watching the Kentucky Derby and the trainers getting the horses and riders into the starting position.
My thoughts also went to: I wonder what the 4-crew team was thinking at that moment. They’ve warmed up; the adrenaline is pumping; they've probably studied their competition and have a strategy in mind. Then there is an announcement that there will be a delay of at least 15 minutes!
“CHANGE” Wow, how did they handle that? I couldn’t tell from where I was standing, and I didn’t stay to watch the race. As I continued my walk, I thought back to years of staff meetings, and I’d discuss “change”.
I’d say: “Every morning we have to get up and expect something to change. We have to stand back, analyze it, and figure out how to move forward. If we don’t it will paralyze us.” I suspect this rowing team has been here before and knows how to move forward, or
I hope everyone has a great week!
Peace and Blessings – Jack
