Happy Monday, FB Friends! “Picture(s) of the Week”
Actually, they’re pictures we took last week as part of our home decorations celebrating Patricia’s 60th birthday.
The wood sculpture was designed by Patricia. She made it in one of her studios at Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied classical architecture way back in 1990.
It’s a Euclidean solid (a cylinder in 3-D), Root 2 rectangle design (Sacred Geometry, also known as the Golden Mean). Ever evolving, in 2009, we made it into a table – functional art - by adding a piece of glass to the top, and last year we added a string of twinkle lights to the inside structure, which wasn’t easy.
Unique and one of a kind, it projects a feeling of warmth and comfort when you walk into the room.
Enjoy. I hope everyone has a great week!
