Happy Monday, Everyone! “Picture(s) of the Week”

Both pictures I took yesterday, Mother’s Day.

I was able to catch the brief appearance of the sun trying to break through the clouds. Substantial rain was forecasted for the Sarasota area for most of the weekend through Tuesday. I did get a walk in yesterday but not far from home.

When I heard the distant rumble of thunder, I quickly made my way back and got in just before the rain. At the moment, it’s like a monsoon out there but we need it.

As I mentioned before, in the Meadows area where we live, we enjoy seeing 85 bodies of water of all different sizes, unfortunately, many are just about dried up. It will be interesting to see how much the water level has risen the next time I can get my walk in.

The other picture is unique. This homeowner decorates the sidewalk side of their mailbox for the many different holidays, very creative!
