Happy Monday, Friends!!
Picture of the Week.
I hope everyone enjoyed this past Thanksgiving week and you were able to appreciate the positives in your life, and not compare it to others. Unfortunately, if you did that, you’ll never be happy. I felt blessed for many reasons.
I know some may think this is a cliché, but I am grateful for living in the country I am in. I’m grateful and appreciate everyone who had to work and be away from their families and friends, including all the first responders and our service members. Patricia and I spent a delightful Thanksgiving dinner with friends. One couple, close friends, we hadn’t seen in ten months because they had moved to Kentucky. It was good to see and hug everyone again.
I’m also grateful that I experienced a couple of “Firsts” last week. My first, First, drum roll please; I broke 1100 miles this calendar year on my morning walks!! A couple of years ago when I first started my morning walking routine, and a half a mile seemed like a long way, I never would have guessed I’d walk 1100 miles in eleven months with the possibility of completing 1200 miles in a calendar year. We’ll see what December may have in store.
My second, First, relates to my Picture of the Week. If you’ve been following my posts and author’s journey, you know, I just published my third book in my “Living Well Series.” You probably also read my thoughts that writing the books is far easier than marketing and selling them. Last week, with the guidance of my writing and marketing coach, Kae Wagner, we published my first national press release. It is interesting that within two hours of its publication, I started receiving emails from companies trying to sell products or services. Every day is an interesting learning experience!
I hope everyone has a great week!
Peace and Blessings to you all!! --- Jack
