Happy Monday, Friends!!
Picture(s) of the Week.
Well, the first weekend of the new year is on the books. For us, after a busy holiday season, it was a nice time to reflect on what was and look forward to what can be. I’d love to hear what your goals may be.
For those of you who have followed my post, you know I try to walk every morning, weather permitting. Sometime last summer, I set a goal of walking 1100 miles in 2025. I surpass that in November. I then upgraded my goal to 1200 miles by December 31st. The weather and a busy schedule didn’t cooperate; I was about 40 miles short. Still, I’m very pleased with how many miles I put on three pairs of walking shoes
Saturday, January 3rd, was the first day for me to start this year’s walking goals and morning picture taking. Actually, last Wednesday, the last day of the year, instead of walking to meet friends for coffee, I drove. My car thermometer read 36 degrees, and there was frost on my windshield. For a second, I thought I was back in New England and not in the subtopics of Florida!
Today’s pictures, one was taken last Saturday of the sunrise and the fog over the 12th fairway of the golf course in the Meadows, Sarasota, FL, where we live.
The other was taken on Sunday morning at the Viewing Tower at Nathan Benderson Park, Sarasota, FL, blanketed in fog.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Peace and Blessings - Jack
