Happy Monday Friends! Picture(s) of the week.

Something about Sundays.
Yesterday, as I was going through my early morning routine, working up to leaving for my daily walk, I just wasn’t feeling it! I had two different voices in my head, one saying, “Just take the day off, you’ve already walked 25+ miles this week,” and the other voice saying, “What’s wrong with you wimp?? You know Sundays, for what ever reason, you log in the most miles. Afraid of the dark and being attacked by all rabbits?” Well, that did it, I’m NOT afraid of the rabbits!!!
When I left, at about 5:45 am, the temperature was already in the 80s. I walked out the door it felt like an oven. There is a 2.5-mile route I could take, and I started off in that direction. Well, I came to a fork in the road, and it was so quiet; there was no breeze. Yes, the rabbits were out, and they didn’t attack me, they were just eating grass. The sky was full of stars. I think it was Venus that was the brightest. So, I decided to walk over the Benderson Park. There is a body of water, about a mile long, set up for rowing competitions and the walk around it is 5k/3.5 miles.
I would guess that most of us, at one time or another, have felt like not doing something but once we did, we were glad we did. That’s how I felt when I saw the sun just coming up over the lake. There were a lot of people out walking, running, roller-skating and riding bikes.
The pictures were a progression of the sunrise as I walked up one side of the lake. Surprisingly, only one person was practicing his rowing skills. I caught him with the sun behind him. There is something about a sunrise. A new start!!
In the last couple of months, the two times I visited Benderson on Sundays, I logged in over 8 miles each time. Yesterday, I only completed 6.5 miles. As the sun came up with the already high temperature and humidity, I was sweaty and drained by the time I got home. However, I was glad I didn’t listen to my first voice.
I hope everyone has a great week! Peace and Blessings to you all!
